The main inspiration for this video installation was the online platform artfacts.net. This platform uses an algorithm to score artists based on their exhibition participation and to present them in a ranking list. The video mainly consists of a long computer-generated, 3D-animated steady shot through an empty exhibition architecture. The calm camera movement through these empty spaces is repeatedly disturbed by a computer-generated voice that announces artist rankings, or by a human voice that recites sentence fragments from the internet. Time and again, self-recorded video material or scenes from a ski race are intertwined with the computer-generated architecture and off voice.
