The main inspiration for the video installation You are the only one was the online platform artfacts.net. This platform uses an algorithm to score artists based on their exhibition participation and to present them in a ranking list. The video mainly consists of a long computer-generated, 3D-animated steady shot through an empty exhibition architecture. The calm camera movement through these empty spaces is repeatedly disturbed by a computer-generated voice that announces artist rankings, or by a human voice that recites sentence fragments from the internet. Time and again, self-recorded video material or scenes from a ski race are intertwined with the computer-generated architecture and off voice.
